In November 2010, ImmigrationWorks collaborated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to produce a report on The Economic Impact of H-2B Workers. On the basis of original economic analysis and a survey of 365 employers who hire H-2B workers, the study refuted common criticisms of the seasonal visa program – including that it takes jobs from American workers and lowers wages. The report’s recommendations: Washington should be looking for ways to expand and improve temporary worker programs, not adding layers of bureaucracy and additional regulations that render the programs all but useless.
